Baby salad greens are one of my favorites. The Aerogarden salad mix is delicious, fast growing, and regenerates quickly. In fact, it seems to do better if you thin it out on a regular basis and let it grow back. I will definetly get this again and keep those greens growing.

As a vegetarian, I prefer to eat my foods as clean as possible, and as fresh as possible. I love the Aerogarden system for the fact that even in the cold winter months, I can grow fresh salads, tomatoes, herbs, and other items to liven up the foods I do eat in my diet. The only con is I do have to plan ahead, so I can have my fresh grown greens, herbs, etc...when our growing season is done. I now have 2 Aerogarden systems, one for herbs and greens and other food related items, which is my AG 7, and a AG 3 for flowers, specifically Lavender, as I do love the scent of fresh grown Lavender. I love the fact that NO DIRT is used, as there's no mess. I've given these as gifts, and recommended them to friends. I love my Aerogardens!

I bwas amazed at how well these grow! there a few kinds of lettuces in this package. Growth is awesome and fast, The lettuce isnt quite as "crispy" as store bought, BUT REMEMBER, that all store bought is Genetically tampered anyways. so enjoy! the taste is waaaaaay better than store bought as well. Im soo happy I eat these right off plants. OH and theres enought for 3 people to have full salads once a week. or enough for 2 people twice a week. A+ :)

Both my wife and I have sucessfully lost weigth and as part of the maintence program salad is a key component. The supplementation that we have with are Areogrow is always looked upon as a treat as the harvest yields a salad for 2 twice a week. The salad being so tender really pairs well with very nice olive oil and fine balsamic vinagars.

I use this the lettuce a few times a week for salads. Sometimes we have enough for a dinner of four, sometimes just enough for my and my husband - depending on when we last used it. I have several varieties of pods, but I find that the lettuce is the easiest to grow and it melts in your mouth. I haven't had luck with some of the herbs, the tomatoes and greenbeans get too big even with a trelles system. I still love my aerogarden and thank my loving husband everyday for buying it for me. The Salad Greens are great for putting on sandwiches and making the occasional salad. You do have to watch them a little as they grow very quickly (a minus, but a big plus too) & can get out of hand if you completely ignore them. The kit saves me around $4-5 every week on what I'd normally spend for a bag of salad at the grocery store. It's not much, but it does add up as the kit lasts for a LONG time. You'll be harvesting quickly and for a while and definitely be getting your money's worth.

I cook for two and can harvest just what I need. To avoid limp lettuce or having the leaves get too large or go to overgrowth, I harvest every other day and place the leaves in a lettuce container (they were designed to clean lettuce from the store or outdoor gardens) and keep the container in the refrigerator.
The lettuce stays fresh and crisp for our meals and the Aerogarden stays neat. I have enough available for an unexpected guest for lunch or dinner. I did not have success with the large tomato plants ):

The lettuce grows great! I have a family of 4 and we eat salads about 3 times a week. I still had enough left after pruning every couple of days to give to the neighbor. It has a great fresh clean taste to it. For me, the only down side to the lettuce is that it isnt really crisp.

This is great for those of us in the middle of winter. The plants grow quickly and have a good taste - though my aerogarden plants are never as hardy as my home garden plants. Aerogarden plants don't have the same crispness or snap to them - but they are still a nice alternative when the weather turns cold.

This came with my Aerogarden when I first bought it, and I was so happy watching how quickly the greens grew. However they didn't grow very evenly, one side grew taller than the other side and started to get burned by the grow bulbs, but when I raised the hood the side that was shorter started to wilt. Hopefully the next time I plant them they will grow more evenly.

Overall the greens taste great, and I'm sure they will last longer than my first time around growing them, because I overpruned them ;_; As long as you follow instructions, they should grow quickly and become quite full.

The plants come up quickly and grow amazingly - once you give them distilled water. My first kit came up in a few days, then died a few days later. I called customer service and they sent a replacement kit right away. She also suggested using distilled water, which worked like a charm. I started cutting three weeks later. We had fresh salad every other day for months. My son snipped off leaves as he watched TV. Sure beats snacking on potato chips.

I use Distilled water to grow my lettuce. By the third week I started picking the lettuce and the the more I picked the faster it grew. It is the lettuce version of Jack And The Bean Stork.I used the nutrition tablets just as perscribed and WOW.If you like lettuce, this is the one.

This is my third Aero garden, and I am looking forward to harvesting fresh garden greens through the winter. At three weeks, I was beginning to harvest salads for dinner, and I am amazed at how quickly the plants replenish themselves.

My last Aero garden (cherry tomatoes) have been transplanted in dirt and I have about 40 tomatoes ripening on those transplanted plants. My chives and basil from the first garden are happily producing in soil as well. This has been a great investment.

This is our second Salad Greens kit. The first came with our Aerogarden at Christmas 2007. It was neat seeing the green treat with 100 inches of "White Death" outside. Friends enjoyed the "fresh picked" salads. With another Winter approaching, came the desire for fresh greens! This time we will attempt to prolong the harvest by combining the kit with a Gourmet Herb kit: 4 Lettuce and 3 herbs for the first round, and 3 lettuce and 4 herbs when summer returns. My husband and I are senior citizens. The Aerogrow is perfect for us because it allows us to use what we need and be able to keep the rest handy. Lettace from the store always goes bad before we can use it up and we waste money. I sometimes combine kits that are alike (snow peas and lettace) so we can have both in our salads.

Salad greens is my absolute favorite kit (with mesclun mix a close second). In three weeks, from seed, you'll have salad, and it's delicious and productive. But unless you have a cool room for it (strictly under 72 degrees), it won't grow well or last beyond 2 months.

I'm on my second Salad Greens harvest because the first was such a hit. It's great to have fresh, organic salad greens ready when I need them, whether for a full salad or just to garnish tacos and burgers. The plants sprout and grow incredibly fast, and can be harvested twice a week, so the kit soon pays for itself. We have a short growing season and lots of Japanese beetles where I live and the Aerogarden has been the answer to all my gardening problems.

I love this growing method. Since dust is in the air, I rinse my Salad Greens. Once they are rinsed and dried, they just seem to flatten and go a little limp. I do add them to juices and to sandwiches. A salad by itself doesn't work well for me. I'm trying the tomatoes next.

I've been growing the salad greens for a couple of years. I love the fresh convenience- but I
have never gotten more than 6 weeks out of a harvest. They're always bitter after 4- no matter how cold the water is and how the light is adjusted. I highly recommend the product- but don't expect to save money on greens, and don't be disappointed if you have lots of nutrients left at the end of each batch. The herbs last longer.

I planted my lettuce garden on June 29th. The plants are already 2 " tall. I had Herbes in such abundance that I shared them with all my friends and had enough to dry, because I could not use them up fast enough. Thanks for a great invention.

Use for salads. I'm dissappointed in that you can not purchase a kit with a variety of salad greens. Was told that I would have to purchase a number of kits of different varieties to get any variety.
