Too early to tell about taste but all the herbs and peppers have now germinated...the peppers being much slower to pop up compared to the herbs. I was a little concerned about the peppers at 1st but knew I could contact the company and get replacements if needed but patience paid off in the end:) It has been fun to see how quickly they start to flourish, even in the dead of winter in Montana;) Like I said, too early to know how they taste but I am looking forward to harvesting and taste testing...

I got aerogarden for christmas from my wife and i thought wow this looks retarded. after trying it i realized i love it. My wife got this kit for me and i tried it first cause i love hot foods and i just had the first pepper and it is delicous i could use these at my resteraunt there that good.

We use our peppers for everyday cooking. Wings, Thai cooking, barbecues. You name it. The Jalepenos are hot and we love that. They are spicier than the ones we grow outdoors!

I tried to plant only 3 of the pods in order to have more chilis for another time. All but 1 of the pods worked, and I had to close of the empty spaces with tape.

Two of the Chili pods didn't grow. Not sure if this is related to the lighting, watering or the pods themselves. The other 5 are growing well. We are looking forward to using these peppers soon.

These peppers were great added to soup. It gave it another layer of flavor.

I have 4 gardens and I love them! I will use the peppers to make jams for family. Christmas in July!!! I use the herbs daily for salads to take to work. The celantro and mint didn't last as long as the other herbs, however, but I couldn't use the other herbs up fast enough! The tomatoes produced so heavily that I had to use extra ties for the vines. I am ordering edible flowers next. That will "wow" EVERYBODY!! i LOVE YOUR GARDENS! I would love to share images if I knew how! It would convince everyone to try the gardens!

It took 7 days for all of the seed pods to sprout. It's now 14 days and they are all about 3 inches tall. Can't wait to taste these little peppers level of heat!

This is my second harvest of Chili Peppers. I have to say that I am extremely excited!! The first harvest went well and the variety of hot peppers were welcome additions to many recipes.
This is definitely a kit that I would use again and again!

The peppers were wonderful. The only problem I had was that they overtook my dining room. My solution was to remove them from the Aero Garden in the spring and move them out to the garden. The root system was pretty dense and I figured I had nothing to lose by chopping carefully to try to separate the plants.
A couple of weeks after I transplanted them outside, I thought they had died but much to my surprise, there were new leaves and new flowers too. These plants are over a year old now and producing an overabundance of fantastic peppers.
We love them. I wish I had done the same with my herbs when they were still growing.

The 2 jalapeno plants grew tall, but did not bear a single pepper. 4 of the remaining 5 plants however provided me with plenty of delicious spicyness for all my dishes for months. Loved it!

The red peppers are decorative, a great recipe ingredient, and healthy to boot. What's not to love? Super easy to grow and it seems like the more you harvest, the more they grow.

I agree with a few of the other reviews; I never harvested any jalapenos (in fact those pods were pulled and thrown out, leaving me with five plants). I would be happy if more of the red hot peppers were offered in place of the jalapenos. The harvest time is also a lot longer than advertised. I planted my peppers at the beginning of August and am now starting to see fantastic growth (in December). On the plus side, the red hots are much hotter than advertised, and the purples grow into super habanero strength. I am almost out of food to feed the plants though, where can I get more to keep this harvest going?

I have this split with another kit and the seedlings have sprouted a lot faster than expected. However, the purple peppers sprouted almost right away on thin shoots that overgrew and curled up within 2 days, and I took the dome off, which apparently the seedlings weren't able to survive. They died from being too thin a start. :(

The plants are still small, have not move up the light. This is our third planting and the front middle pod died the last two times. Also, the peppers seem fine, but the chives last order never grew to much.

I got my Aerogarden as a Xmas gift last year. I thought "what a crazy idea". Well this is one cool deal. First I did the herb garden & it grew for almost a year before I decided to try another combination. I planted the pods 1 week ago & they are all over 2" tall already! I can't wait for the peppers to come out so I can make some super spicy SALSA! Woohoo! I can't emphasize enough how cool this hydroponic garden is, it is so low maintenance & the plants grow easily. Did I mention, I love my Aerogarden?

The purple super hots and red fire hots are fine, but the Jalapenos did nothing. Maybe the seed pods should be all reds & purples and not waste space with the Jalapenos?

This is my first pepper planting and I'm now at the pruning stage. All the plants look good and I will follow the directions to hopefully produce healthy, fruitful plants. I have owned an Aerogarden since 2007 and now have 3 gardens....one for salad greens, one for herbs and now one for peppers. It was very scary to prune my pepper plants but I did it and now I see the great results.

I just ended my pepper garden after 8 months! It was still producing flowers and fruit and I think it might have gone on forever. Great peppers. You do have to trim a couple times a week - the plants grow so quickly.

The peppers plants grew extremely well--to the point that they overgrew the light source and are growing out and around the entire unit. I hesitated to pinch back as all the blossoms were on the ends, but after contacting customer service, found that this was what I should have done. I have been at this for 12 weeks(have been running 2-3 weeks behind the schedule in the manual)as peppers are just now starting to grow--none ripe. All of the peppers are outside of the light source. It has been an interesting learning curve.

loved this kit, great grower, great producer, outstanding flavor. Would like a bit more variety but otherwise this is an outstanding kit and I will purchase it again. Actually transplanted the pepper plants outside during summer and they kept producing up until the first frost.

The jalepeno pepper plants grew no fruit, however the others were very fruitful and HOT, HOT, HOT. We found lots of uses for them. Customer service tried to be helpful with some hints on getting the jalepeno plants to grow peppers but unfortunately it did not help.I will try again and hopefully get all plants to fruit.

Wow! This kit is great...I have no complaints and everything about it is just as described. At just 12 weeks, I have ripe, abundant peppers...Almost more than I can count. The Chili Pepper Seed Kit includes 3 types of hot peppers. As a fan of hot and spicy foods myself, I decided to "taste test" the three varieties using a cheese pizza as my pallet. All I can say is, these things are HOT. They go from HOT to REALLY HOT. If you like spicy foods their is nothing quite like fresh-picked hot peppers.
