Since "planting" my incredible edibles in the Lady Bug garden, I have influenced two co-workers to purchase their own mgardens! I'd say that is using the product wisely, wouldn't you? I will use the flowers to enhance presentation of dishes for pot lucks at work.

I bought this as a gift for my step-daughter. She enjoys cooking and I thought edible flowers would appeal to her. Turns out, snapdragons are her favorite flower. Unfortunately, the snapdragons are not sprouting. The marigolds and dianthus are growing nicely, but after 2 weeks we have yet to see sprouts in the snapdragon pod. Still, we are getting great pleasure in watching the progress of the other 2 and are looking forward to the harvest. I grow herbs and salad greens in my big aerogarden and LOVE everything I've grown!!!

Very easy to set up and lovely to watch grow. However, the grow time is quite long for these flowers, so patience is a must.

I love adding the flowers to salads. The marigolds are my favorite, adding a peppery taste. Also, the color makes the salads more eye appealing. In the meantime, it adds color and beauty to the kitchen. Also, they make great stocking stuffers (the kits) for my friends.

Pop a few petals into salads for gourmet fare. That's why I bought them. Then, you still enjoy the beauty as they produce and produce. I make small bouquets for friends. I've never had any trouble growing these flowers.

The 3 and 6 pods work by capillary action. The 7 pod sets work by water cascading down on the pods. That being said, the 3 and 6 pods will fit in the 7 except for the 2 outside front row ones, because the bars prevent the longer pods. And if you remove the bars even they will fit. So these will work in a 7 set if you get enough pods or use some spacers. They work just fine mixed with other pods on my Original Aerogarden, no trimming required. And they look pretty along with the Lavender I am growing on the same device. (7 pods will not work on 3 & 6 pod machines as they are not long enough to get to the water.)

My AeroGarden is in the kitchen in a corner of dead space and looks wonderful. The only real problem I have is that the flowering seed kits aren't compatible with the older versions of the Aerogarden. With some accomodations I was able to get the flowering seed kits to work but I had to change the plastic receptacles that the seeds came in with ones I had left from other seed kits.
