I recently bought an Herb n Serve and a free one came with another order. I plan to use one of them for dips and the other for dressings. These babies rock! They're very well made and easy to use. My first dressing combined chives, oregano, thyme and basil with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard and a little seasoning. It was a hit with everyone and we've used it on more than just salads. If you use herbs you need an Herb n Serve. You'll wonder how you got along without it!

This is a cute little blender that I keep next to my AeroGarden to remind me to take clippings from both my herb and salad gardens. As a result of taking clippings, both have grown much larger and more rapidly. The battery power is not too strong, but that is not a problem, it just means not to load in too many herbs at once. The carafe is very easy to take apart and clean. Overall, a very handy little product!

nice little "blender" It works well for complete blending as long as you follow the directions and user guide. Wish it was able to recharge batteries in the unit. (I use rechargeable nmhi batt.) has suprising power for a small DC motor.

A neat little gadget that helps you make good salad dressing easily and quickly. Instructions and measurements right on the side, and the carafe can be used to store the dressing in the fridge as well.
It is, however, slightly messy when pouring.

It's great to use to whip up a quick marinade or dressing. A lot of thought went into the design so it's easy to use. Nice to have something to use that can just sit within reach instead of taking out a HUGE appliance to take care of a small job. very pleased (and surprised)...

I am just beginning to use fresh herbs in my cooking. This is very useful. Favors are fresh and now preferred.

I was really impressed with the Herb n Serve. I was afraid the chopping blade wouldn't work as promised because of other products I'd tried but it's great. It's fast and easy to use. We love basil and so typically keep 3+ pods of basil going, but sometimes we don't consume it quick enough and the plants start hitting the lights and burning leading to waste... ... that was until we got the Herb 'n Serve.

Now, we can always harvest and make into dressings regardless of what else we might do with the herbs keeping things completely at our convenience.

Also, we used to use the packaged vinaigrette mixes for dressing, but now don't need to do this.. saving $$ and controlling exactly what we're consuming.

I needed a small, compact battery powered 'mixer' for use making re-constituted milk, cocoa, fruit drinks, dressings and other light mixing chores on my backpacking/camping trips out in the wilderness. The instructions warning against using re-chargeable batteries kept me from buying it for over a year.Being a retired electronics engineer and using state-of-the-art Sanyo Eneloop NiMh batteries with exceptionally low self discharge in my other field equipment, I could not understand this warning/caution against their use. So, I ordered the Herb n Serve, installed these batteries, and have been using it nearly every day for two months making my cocoa with exceptional results.The characteristics that I especially like are:1. More than adequate power and battery charge life for the purposes I need this for.2. Easy cleaning.3. One of the best engineered products of its type and built with solid construction and quality.I would highly recommend both the Herb n Serve and Sanyo Eneloop NiMh batteries along with the Maha MH-C9000 smart charger [...] for the basic purposes most would buy it for.

Oil & vinegar dressings are so much healthier than store bought. Adding minced herbs takes it over the top. I could never use anything else on salads. This is easy to use with clear markings to get proportions right. Easy to clean, too.

I saw this neat little device in our local garden center, and was immediately intrigued. I grow loads of different kinds of herbs, and use them fresh all through the long seasons of their availability. However, I have always hated the task of chopping up the mix of herbs I concoct--big leaves and small, different textures and ease of chopping. This device solves it all. So easy. Imagine my delight when I also discovered a new feature--it really emulsifies the oil vinegar mixture making it into real salad-dressing thickness. Thank you for this very well-designed item.

I decided I had to buy this. I received a Space Saver 6 for Christmas, and a 3 for my birthday (month and a half apart). I used the Gourmet Herb kit that came with the 6 and the Salad Greens I got in the 3.
I couldn't decide on whether I needed this, until I looked at the herbs growing rampant and the salad greens almost ready.
This was a no brainer. It came with a booklet of recipes and I used it the first night.

I make wonderful salad dressings from scratch without having to drag out the big blender. One word of caution: Soft stems or long pieces won't chop they just wind around the blade and spin. Just pull the leaves off the stem and they'll mince up just fine.

I love this little carafe. I use it for dressings and homemade mayonaise too. I love the way it immediately chops herbs up to fine bits. I love the way you can refresh the consistency after you have left it in the fridge. I used to use the blender to make my mayonaise. I adjusted how I make it a little. It works great. What I first thought might be an extravagance has turned out to be a necessity. I like also the safety features it has built in. I only wish you could use rechargeable batteries with it. I don't like to use the regular kind anymore.

great product! so easy to use, and my kids love using it too. it's wonderfull not having to chop or mince anything up. my only wish is that you could purchase an extra carafe. that way you could make a couple different dressings at once, or you could have one in the dishwasher and the other available for use.

also - a note to future buyers. when I first used mine, the blade would only turn a couple times and then stop when I turned it on. I initially thought I had completely wasted my money. I then adjusted the lid on the battery compartent and it worked beautifully. all ingredients were finely and evenly minced after just a few seconds. I must have closed the lid incorrectly the first time. So if it doesn't work for you perfectly, it's not the product... Aerogrow has created another excellent device!

So Aerogrow - are extra carafes ever going to be an option???

This is a "must have" for everyone who enjoys the flavor of fresh herbs. It also comes with a nice little recipe book filled with great ideas. It comes apart easily, even the blade, so it's a breeze to clean.

Great machine, small, kind of quite, compact, however, no detachable blade, for some people like me, I like to get to every part of the machine and clean throughly after each use. Besides that, it's a wonderful blender.
