I bought 2 new pumps for 2 aerogardens; both of which had pumps which had become extremely noisy. The new pumps are working good so far, hopefully the liquid nutrients (versus tablets) will cause less wear on the pumps.

We were all set to start a new crop of lettuces - oakleaf, arugula, endive. Set up the pods, changed the bulbs, topped off the water, plugged 'er in and - nothing. After hours of trouble shooting that got me nowhere, I finally gave in and ordered the replacement pump. What else could it be?

The pump took about 10 minutes to install and, of course, the old pump had been the problem all along. Now we have a fresh harvest of salad greens! Next time, we won't wait - replacing the pump is so simple, inexpensive, and effective there's no reason not to do it every few garden seasons.

After 2 years and 4 "crops" Had trouble getting new crop to start after being idle since last summer. Seeds germinated poorly and died. Diagnosed pump problem, easy replacement, but garden still not performing like new. Plants sluggish and seem starved. Removal of the defunct pump and replacement of the new took less than five minutes and the only tool required is a Phillips head screw driver. I plugged the unit in and it's working beutifully again!

I am not very handy with tools, so I was very pleased to see how easy it was to replace the water pump. It took me 20 minutes to get up the courage to open the box, but only 5 minutes to replace it.

My husband installed this while I was gone and had no problems. We had to make a different replacement a year or more ago and thought something had come loose causing a very loud rattling. Turns out it was the pump dying. I had to move the AeroGarden to the basement it was so loud but with the new pump it's as quiet as it was when we first bought it and still producing tons of herbs. AeroGarden's back in the kitchen where it gets the most use.

I've had my aero garden for approximately two years, and in that time have had about 3 garden growing seasons. It is recommended that the pump be replaced after every two garden seasons, and it's easy to see why.

The replacement pump was easy to install; the old pump simply pops out with a suction cup and one small screw. Once the new pump was installed, the unit was whisper quiet and let water flow freely and with good force.

The replacement pump makes a difference and is very much worth purchasing.

I had to replace my pump after maybe 4 use cycles, when my old pump suddenly gave out, despite thorough cleaning. This pump was surprisingly inexpensive and super-easy to install, but I have to say I was somewhat disappointed that I had to replace it at all. This pump is extremely easy to install. It is so quiet that I double-checked to ensure that it was even working! My aerogarden pump stopped working and also the copper (?) contact on the arm that holds the light was all corroded and cannot be cleaned. After having my aerogarden produce for several seasons without a break, the original pump just became worn, and started making a loud noise. I had to put my garden in another room! I contacted aerogarden after cleaning the pump a few times(which was actually very easy), and let them know that I was still having noise issues. I was able to get a new pump right away- and now my garden is so quiet I can't even tell that its on! The new pump is wonderful, and couldn't have been easier to install.

The new one was easy to install, and it's so quiet that I've checked several times to be sure that it's actually running. It's great to have my garden going again, this time with the Romaine kit. I own 4 Aerogrow Classics, one of which is still flourishing with the original 3 cherry tomato plants for over a year. Due to a move, I had to decommission 3 growers for 6 months and had just planted a new herb garden, lettuce, tomatoes & was experimenting with strawberry seeds when one of the motors started to malfunction. Luckily [...] I ordered 3 new motors because another motor in one of the new gardens malfunctioned with baby plants that had sprouted.I now have four functioning gardens again but only one spare motor left.

This replacement pump, while a good value [...], does not perform exactly as the original manufacturer's pump did. Turned to a setting of "2," it pushes out water at a much higher rate than the original, making it considerably more noisy. Still, it is functional, and my tomato plants are, if anything, happier with the higher rate of oxygenated water flowing over the roots. The only real drawback here is that it now sounds like I have one of those little desktop fountains in my living room. One of the things that has always appealed to me about Aerogardens is their silent operation. It's not a dealbreaker for me, but it is a little disappointing.

I had to replace my pump due to my filter being removed without me knowing it and then growing plants without the filter in place. I purchased the pump to replace the old one and it was very easy to install. After I installed it and plugged it in it worked great. I am growing greenbeans right now and I can hardly tell the pump is running it is so quiet now. I would definately recommend this if your pump is going bad.
